日本でも学校改修は塗料業界にとって大きな課題でしょうが、香港でも学校改修が行われる夏は我々塗料の販売を生業にしているものにとって大切な時期となります。しかしその物件獲得のための仕込みは、既にこの時期から始まっています。

香港政府も日本と同じく4月から新会計年度が始まります。特に今年は香港の中国返還20周年を迎える7月1日に初の女性長官である林鄭月娥氏が行政長官に就任することもあり、その後の任期5年の方針を占う意味もあって、予算の配分に直結する公共投資としての学校改修にどのような指針を打ち出すのかが注目されています。

Schools renovation is one of the seasonal projects in the Japan market. Paint manufacturers will become even busier than the other quarters for having keen competitions in this market sector. In actuality, we in Hong Kong are also facing fierce competition for school projects in the summer season. Indeed, our game has already been started as of this moment!

Same as Japan, Hong Kong government commences their official fiscal year from April, and since our first ever female chief executive, Ms. Carrie Lam, is going to take office on 1st of July, the entire market will definitely pay deep attention to new directions of budgeting. Her appointment period would be 5 years, and her comments as the representative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and head of the Government of Hong Kong shall greatly affect our local financial direction in the coming half decade. School renovation will certainly be one of the public investment items for Hong Kong citizens to observe and evaluate how the new government handles after taking over.

In 2016, we have done approximately 70 numbers of summer school projects, which has shown to the government our market value. We expect, with full confidence, to achieve more than last year.
